No-exam life insurance
Which applicants get fast decisions, how the process works, and what happens if you don't.
Many carriers now use accelerated underwriting: applicants in certain age and amount bands get decisions via application data, prescription lookups, and driving records instead of a physical exam. Some approvals arrive same-day. Each quote lists whether that product demands an exam, might need one, or doesn't.
What it changes
Fast underwriting doesn't skip verification. The carrier confirms your answers, and misstatements can be disputed within the first two years. If questions surface, the carrier may still order tests; you then decide to proceed or stop.
Who tends to qualify
Most carriers approve without an exam for applicants below 60, within their underwriting limits, with no severe health conditions, and non-tobacco users (or those off nicotine for a year). Recent bloodwork from a doctor's visit may substitute for an exam at some carriers.
When an exam is required, count on a 20–30 minute session with a paramedical pro at your home or work in Encinitas, with no charge. For applicants in good health, the exam frequently lifts your rate classification.
