Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool needs only six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, current health status, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and the term length. Those answers are sufficient for the carriers to provide rates. Personal identifying information like your name, address, and detailed health history is requested only if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices you see are what each carrier quotes based on the health class you selected. The carrier determines your final rate and premium category after reviewing your detailed application and health records, which may result in a better, same, or different rate than initially quoted. This site does not guarantee or promise any specific price or that you will be approved.
What happens when I click Apply?
Clicking Apply creates an application using the specific quote and information you provided, then moves you into a secure application run by the carriers' platform. You can pause and return to it at any time, and you will sign your documents electronically. Your application is processed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on which carrier you choose, how much coverage you request, and your health answers. Many carriers now offer accelerated paths for qualified applicants that skip the traditional exam; the quote details for each carrier will show whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
The right term length depends on what you need to protect. Choose a length that covers the years your family would struggle financially if your income stopped—whether that is tied to a mortgage, children's education, or business obligations. A longer term costs more monthly but locks your rate in for more years. The quote tool lets you see the monthly cost for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms side by side.
